A Willow Tara comic on Dark Horse Extra #47 and 48

Hello. I was in a comic shop the other day. Just looking at the cheap newspapers and magazines they had on the rack on the way out, when I saw "Dark Horse Extra" a 25 cent magazine with a poster and three sunday comic sized strips and one of them was a Willow Tara one. . part 1 of 2. . (I got Both parts). Anyway it's a basic story. It was them tring to summon. . something never syas what, doesn't work Willow plays Dawn's game boy, monsters come out of it, they kill it a big demon comes out that they summoned. . kill it. . Tara says "Video games are bad for the Soul. . I knew it" or something to that effect. Has anyone else seen it? It's Super Deformed W/T goodness. Worth every penny of my 25 cents :-). If this was postered Before osrry.

Thanks to the wonderful Kajun. I just got these. They are big but I will be scanning. In her generosity tons were sent and any kitty showing up in San Diego will get a copy, till I run out! I have 1 and 2. So, I'll be scanning.

cool. i've tried to get my hands on W&T comics...so far with no luck.

Oh Ok. . Looks like I sent out old news. Sorry. Gotta love the SD W/T though. Anyway. . could anyone do a check to see if there were any other W/T mini-Comics in there? Meaning the Whole of "Dark Horse Extra" With 40 some od issuse and most having something to do with a comic coming out maybe there was a Side Story for the first W/T comic?

Hey it's not really old news, cause I hadn't seen it at all till recently. Anyway, again I finally scanned them, it was difficult cause my scanner wasn't big enough, so copy paste, edit.. and combine two pics together to get it to look alright. I didn't even know this whole Dark Horse Extra thing existed, so I don't know if there was one for the first comic.

Andy Watson's style is so cute. I was trying to achieve a style like his... but then... I'm not him. Wish I could draw as cute as his W/T. I was gigling over the part where Willow dove for the gb..there was a arch and the word DIVE there. heh.

I have never seen WT quite like that before, I am sort of missing the curvy bits, but well that's inherent to the style of drawing I guess, I do like it that teeny tiny cartoon Tara has an even teenier tinier cartoon shirt so that a wee bit of Tara tummy is still showing. Given this style though, it makes me go "aaaaaw, how cute" instead of "grrrrrr, yum".

Oh, I really love the picture with them in bed. Not just because they are so cute, but also because the picture conveys this heartwarming "normalness" about them being a couple. Well, at least what I feel when I look at it... cool!

This little comic was not part of Amber's Willow and Tara Comic series. It was written/illustrated by Andi Watson and published (in two parts) in the 25 cent newspapers titled, "Dark Horse Presents" many years ago.
