Part 4 Willow seemed very worked up as the credits to the movie she and Tara had been watching rolled to a finish. Her fingers were working over-time, twiddeling her thumbs in her lap. Tara watched Willow's eyes shift around to almost every corner of the theatre, except in her general direction.
"Are you doing...alright, Willow?" As Tara spoke, Willow finally made eye contact. She looked flushed, and on the upset side of the emotional spectrum.
"Oh, Tara, yeah....I'm just a little after-shocked. I mean, I didn't realize what kind of movie I was takeing you to, and I guess I wasn't prepared for it, you know? When I read the review in the Sunnydale Weekly, I thought High Art was about artists trying to make it big, not...."
"Drug addictions, l-l-lesbianism, and death?" Tara offered her thoughts carefully, trying to gage just exactly what part had Willow so worked up.
"I'm so sorry Tara, I didn't mean to drag you to such a disturbing movie, and you barely know me, and I can't help but think how psycho and scary you probably find me now and..."
"Willow, it's okay. I don't think I c-could ever think of you as scary or psycho, whether I'd known you for one hour, or one h-h-hundred years. Besides, the movie wasn't that bad, although I could really do without seeing another movie where the main, h-homosexual characters get addicted to drugs and end up dead. The whole lesbian cliche thing can really make me mad."
Tara smiled at Willow, to show her that she didn't think any less of her.
I wonder if I can tell her about myself, I would never want to make Willow uncomfortable, but I don't want to hide from her... Tara's thoughts were coming hard and fast.
Willow breathed a sigh of relief and visibly relaxed. "Let's go home then, shall we?" With that said, Willow popped out of her seat, and held out her hand to help Tara up. Tara's fingers met Willows, digits inter-locking together, creating a perfect fit. They shared a mutual sigh, glad to know things were okay between them.
The girls finally reached their room, after a silent walk from the Sunnydale Cineplex back to campus.
Willow walked into their room first, she plopped down onto her bed, on her back, with a long sigh, and a slight thud. Tara closed the door behind her, took off her purple corderoy jacket, and rolled her shoulders to try and relieve some of the tension she was carrying in her back. Willow was unconsciously watching every move Tara's body made, the way her breasts wiggled as she kicked her clogs off her feet.
Wow. Her breasts jiggle so...beautifully, Tara has such a beautiful body. I wonder what color her nipples are? Oh. My. God. When did I turn into such a perv?! Sexual frustration, yes! Thats it! It's been at least 2 weeks since me and Oz have done it. It's difficult to make alone time with your boyfriend when you have a new roomie to get to know.... Willow was smiling deeply, oblivious to the direction in which she was gazing.
"Do I have a s-stain on my shirt? Damn, I knew I spilled some mocha on myself at the Espresso Pump!"
God that was close, Willow thought.
First I take her to a risky movie, and now I'm oogling her with my naughty eyes. Stop being naughty, eyes of mine! Willow shook her head and got up. She walked to the answering machine, blinking red, one message:
" Hey Willow, its Oz. It's 7:30 pm on Sunday, I was calling to see if you wanted to watch Veruca's band practice. All us Dingoe's will be there, and we were gonna go to the Bronze after, so, you know where to find me...If not, I'll see you tomarrow. Bye." Click.
Willow turned to Tara, watching Tara's nude back disapear as the blonde pulled a powder blue thermal on. Tara turned around, peeking red-faced at Willow from behind the veil of her hair.
"So, um, you and Oz, h-how long have you been together?" Tara quickly made her way to her own bed as she spoke. She seemed to be holding back her energy, like she had something else to say.
"Oh....we've been dateing for around 2 years. He's the first person I've ever been with, the only one so far, actually. Guys in high school never really looked at me as a girl, you know? Oz was so nice to me, and well, enough about that. Tell me about you. I bet you had all the boys crawling at your feet, standing in line just to see your lovely face." Tara became an even deeper shade of red.
Take deep breaths, relax....she called me lovely. Tara looked at Willow, a serious expression painting her features into a slight frown.
"There's something I should tell you Willow, and I'm not sure how you'll take it...so, here it goes....I don't g-g-go for guys. I've only been attracted to other women, my w-whole life. Tara looked up quickly, trying to gage how Willow would take this new information about herself.
Willow seemed to be having a million reactions at once, yet she quickly recovered, and looked to the blonde with open eyes and an open heart. Tara looked so scared, and Willow was amazed at how brave Tara was, telling her this. She couldn't bare to see how tense Tara felt, so she crossed the short distance to Tara's bed, and sat down next to her.
"Tara, look at me, I need you to know that I'm fine with this." Tara looked at Willow with some suprise, she had been preparing for major rejection. She'd dealt with rejection her whole life. The fact that Willow was smiling at her, with a warm hand on her shoulder, made the smile contagious.
"Oh Willow, I'm so relieved. It's so hard, to, you know, tell people, especially a roomate....are you sure your still comfortable with me, with us, as roomies...?"
"I've never lived with someone I'm more comfortable with. No, really! And we are so much more than just roomies Tara, we're friends, and to me, that means so much. I feel so right being your friend. I feel like I've always been your friend, and I'm looking forward to learning everything about you. So, yeah, of course I'm sure. I've never been sure-er."
Oh wow...she is so precious, please goddess don't let me mess this up. Maybe I can nip this crush in the bud... Tara stood up and walked to her bookcase. She pulled out a really old looking, large, volume and came back to sit next to Willow.
"This Book of Shadows was my mothers, and my grandmothers before that. All of their spells are in here, along with a few I've created." Tara watched how cute Willow's face was as she stared at Tara's book. Her tongue was peeking out slightly, as it always seemed to when she was deep in thought.
"Wow, so, your Mother was a witch too...and your Grandmother. I bet you could teach me a lot...most of what I've learned has been from the internet, and books, I love books," Willow's babble broke off as the telephone rang, filling the room with it's noise, breaking the mood.
"Damn it, who would call at 11:30 at night. Better not be Buffy!" With that said, Willow got up to answer the phone.
