A Merry Scooby Christmas
Prologue
Up to right before the end of Seeing Red…
“You think can just do this to me?” Warren yelled as he aimed. But just as he attempted to pull the trigger someone tackled him to the ground.
“No one is dying on this day…” A tall brunette said as a shorter one ran in behind her.
“Well…you stopped him.” The other brunette said as Buffy and Xander stared in shock.
“What’s going on?” Buffy asked.
“You were about to be shot in the shoulder…he would have ran off, shooting bullets at the house, in turn killing your friend the blonde who is upstairs having sex with the redhead. In turn, the redhead would have gone crazy with black magicks and killed him for killing her…” The shorter one said. “I’m Nico…this here is my crazy friend Ryan… She tends to act before she can think.” Nico said as Ryan stood up and held Warren.
“You’re not going anyone, mother fucker.” Ryan said to Warren as she held him tightly. “Not to bother ya, but do you have any rope or anything to hold him down…maybe some duct tape?” Ryan asked as Xander nodded and headed inside. Willow and Tara were walking downstairs when they saw Xander rush in.
“Xander what just happened?” Willow asked as Tara held her tightly.
“Warren almost killed Tara…” Xander said relaying the information back to the two witches.
“What?” Willow asked as she got very defensive.
“If it wasn’t for the two sexy girls outside…Tara would be dead right now…and Buffy would be almost dead…” Xander confirmed as they followed him outside. Nico was holding Warren as Ryan tied him up. “The tall one is Ryan…the shorter one, but still very tall is Nico.”
“Hey…”Ryan said as she pushed the now tied up Warren to the ground. She put duct tape over his mouth and smiled at the pair. “Now that you guys are safe, we really gotta go.” Ryan said as Nico nodded. Dawn walked into the backyard and saw the scene. Nico saw her and her heart jumped into her throat. Ryan had been staring at the slayer and shook her head.
“You can’t just go…you just saved Tara’s life…that deserves a drink and some dinner.” Willow said as Ryan and Nico shook there heads.
“It’s just in a days work. She’s a seer and I’m just her muscle.” Ryan said as they walked out of the backyard.
How wrong they were. You see Willow and Tara found them again one night while walking to Buffy’s. They had slayed four vampires each on their own. They noticed that it was Christmas day as well, and these two didn’t have any plans on stopping for anyone, anything, or any holiday.
“Ryan? Nico?” Tara asked as they approached the two friends.
“Tara…hey.” Nico said as Ryan plunged a stake into a vampire’s heart.
“What are you two doing out?” Willow asked as she smiled at the taller women. “It’s Christmas.” She said excitedly.
“Well vamps don’t rest, not even on Christmas. So we are doing our duty and slaying away.” Ryan said as Tara frowned.
“I can’t have that…you are coming to Christmas dinner with us.” Tara said as Ryan just shrugged.
“Whatever.” Ryan said nonchalantly.
“What Ryan really means is that we’d love to join you guys for Christmas dinner.” Nico said as she put Ryan in a headlock and messed her hair up.
“What she said.” Ryan said as they followed Willow and Tara to the Summers’ residence.
“So why are you two here anyways?” Willow asked out of curiosity.
“Fun…we needed more of a challenge. Nico is just learning how to harness her power and I’m just getting a lot of strength training from slaying vamps and killing demons.” Ryan said as she lit a cigarette. Tara smiled as they walked “Why you smiling, Blondie?” Ryan asked
“Just like Buffy.” Willow said as they reached the house. They walked in and saw the house was buzzing with activity. Dawn was busy bothering Spike. Buffy was being the kind hostess. Xander and Anya were making out on the couch. Giles was cleaning his glasses and all just seemed perfect. Ryan and Nico smiled as they walked in after Willow and Tara.
“Guys…oh those who don’t know. This is Ryan and that’s Nico…they are the ones taking Buffy’s workload.” Tara said as Ryan and Nico smiled. Dawn noticed the girl from her school and smiled. She was shy, and hardly ever talked to anyone. But for some odd reason, whenever Dawn was around her, she made sure she was heard. Nico smiled at the girl as she sat down next to Spike.
“Do you got any more?” He asked as Nico nodded and handed him a few. “Thanks kiddo.” He said as Nico grimaced.
“Kiddo?” Nico asked as Ryan just shrugged and made her way towards the kitchen. Buffy was talking to Anya about something. Willow saw Ryan staring at her friend and smiled.
“So Ryan…what do you do beside kill vamps?” Willow asked
“Graphic design for some company in town.” Ryan replied as she walked with Willow over to the living room.
“Wow…any good?” Willow asked as Ryan smirked.
“I’d like to think so.” Ryan confessed as she and Willow sat down. “You have an amazing girlfriend.” Ryan whispered.
“Thank you…” Willow whispered back to her as Ryan laughed.
“Tara is perfect for you. Nico saw it in her dreams…only true soul mates can be casted into the dreams of others…seers are very sensitive to them.” Ryan said as Nico stood up and got the courage just to talk to Dawn. Dawn smiled at Nico as they began talking about stupid things like school and work. They all were getting along very well…and the time that pasted…change became very apparent.
'If I could bottle up the chills that you give me
I would keep them in a jar next to my bed.
