What do you do when you can't sleep?

It depends. -Obviously- tonight my preference is to post, and post, and post, and post some more. But usually I read, or talk to friends, or watch movies. Some really bad infomercials sometimes. And last but not least, if its a particularly bad night with insomnia and heartbreak, I drink.

laying on the floor and cuddling up with a snoring dog has been known to help...although it can lead to stinkiness...also I suppose if it was a smaller one you could just put the dog on the bed so you'd already be there when you fell asleep

Although it was one of my nights of heartbreak, tonight I didn't actually drink. The source of said heartbreak was actually texting me all night. It's now 5 am here and I'm still unable to sleep but at least I've talked to her. That's what I did tonight. I'm an idiot. Although, I have no intention of changing that.

It can depend on what u do during the day i.e. if u do something physical during the day you then need to knacker ur mind out, perhaps try reading (not something to interesting cos that can make things worse), and vice versa.
Doesn't work all the time but can b worth a try

Tonight I watched Chance and D.E.B.S. and then decided to come over to the KB at like 6:30 am for some posting. I have no life and I'm an insomniac. Bad combo.

When I'm at college I don't have the room to myself, so I have to be careful not to wake my roommate up when I can't sleep. Usually I listen to music on my headphones- not necessarily calming music, anything will do. Sometimes I'll go downstairs to the common room and sit or try to read until I start to feel tired again.
