Yay for the younger teens coming out! *I* could never have been that brave... but I went to a Catholic high school, so that may have made it harder. Maybe not, though. I'm 18, no labels, and single. And I'm not particularly unhappy about it, as other people seem to be... but I would like to be of the non-single variety sometime soon again. PM or e-mail me if you want to chat! Lisa here, I am 27 now but I remember clear as day having such strong feelings for girls from aged about 11. The really hard age for me was 14 and 15 when I knew girls who had boyfriends and I was trying to think of excuses why I did not want one.

I had a very close friend who who was the only one not to gently tease me about this. I was madly in love with her and thankfully we eventually got over the awkwardness and became a couple when I was 15 and she was still 14. It lasted just 6 months, but young love was so good.

I don't say it is easy, but around this age is when you will define your sexuality in my opinion. Be patient (I know it's so hard !), you never know where love will strike. I never believed I would have my friend want to be with me in that way.
