damn it. wish i can remember just where i posted my dog's pics. took tens of them 2 years or so ago and gah! she's an australian silky terrier whom i think isn't pure. heh. cross bred with some or the other, since she's much bigger (ok, not a lot. maybe 160% of a pure's?). currently...10++ years old !

I have a friend who has two cats (Emerson and Chairman Meow) who are the furry loves of her life. Unfortunately, the human love of her life whom she married in June is deathly allergic to the cats and has gotten progressively sicker after four years of dating and 2+ of cohabitation. They have tried everything... no carpets, allergy meds, air purifiers, bathing of the cats. There's just nothing that can be done. While my allergic friend loves the cats, she's starting to become increasingly miserable and resentful towards them because of her worsening allergy problems.

In the past six months they've acquired a chihuahua and moved into a new place and the cats are not dealing well with any of these changes. Emerson has taken to peeing on their leather couches. The other is continually terrorized by the dog. The house is nowhere near being harmonious. It's causing friction in their marriage.

So my friends have decided that to save 1) the cats from the stress of the dog and the negative energy in their home, 2) the allergic one's lung capacity, and 3) their relationship, they'd like to find a new loving home for the cats. I know there are a lot of major animal lovers on this board so I thought I'd throw it out here to see if anyone in this region (New England... though they'd be willing to transport the cats further, I think) would be interested in taking on one or both of these boys.

About the cats. Emerson is the older of the two, I think he may be 5 or 6 years old. He's a really sweet guy, gray and chubby, but he has some health problems. I'm not sure what the diagnosis is exactly but he was vomiting and pooping blood a few years ago and now takes a medication daily that prevents it. My friend will continue to pay for his medication so that whomever adopts him will not have to incur that financial burden. Chairman is a solid black cat who is large but fairly lean. He's a little rascally but has no health problems and is only 2 or 3 years old. He suffers the brunt of the dog's wrath.

They are chow, german shepard, black lab mixes, and Rhainnon looks completely shepard, and Mercury looks all chow. So cute. Mercury's eyes are different too. They still retain a mostly blue look, and are a little grayish wine colored sometimes as well, instead of the natural brownish color dogs eyes tend to be. And our 3rd dog, my beloved Jazz, I got him when I was 12, for christmas. He's a full blood yorkie who thinks hes a full blood doberman, or rott or something. We currently have a 4th dog for a short time, Ananew, my uncles dog, because hes out of state and cant take him until the move is finished. And then the kitty, Marilyn, named after Marilyn Monroe. hello everyone,

seeing all the lovely pictures here made me wanna show my babies off.

first is willow (don't know where that name came from, lol). shes four years old and thinks she the boss.


this is robbie,hes also 4 years old, hes a big softy (which willow uses to her advantage ) loves nothing more than eating sleeping and having cuddles.


this is my housemates dog, which when i moved out will be coming with me, his name is joey and hes 7 months old.


and finally but not least, my mum n dads dogs, who i love like my own, fudge (the little one) and tika, there are about 7-8 years old.

I've had rats for years, usually a couple at a time, but for the past year I've had just one little girl. She died on the weekend and I miss her terribly but I wanted to share a photo of her. Her name was Penny and she was a brown rat. Very photogenic, I might add! I just loved that little squeaker!

This is Chip, my family's Boston Terrier, who we had to put down this past April at age 15. We rescued him from the Humane Society just before I went into high school, and there was never a better or funny dog.

My roommate is fostering cats for ASPCA (or possible PAWS, I don't remember), so we have four kittens and their mom running around the apartment.



My favorite is Moose, who likes to sit on shoulders and chests and fall asleep.
Oh, and I'm the non-cat in the picture, in case it's not clear.

Here is a picture of kitties... Miss disappeared a bit when it was time for her to get neutered... When she came back she was pregnant again, and now she has 6 babies... (5 weeks old we think, we can't know for sure she has disappeared some times... and reappeared with the 6 of them!)

lol! It looks like they are eating her yes.
And also when a cat has to nurse several babies, she tends to loose some weigh during this time... So they kinda are *really* eating her ^^
