I have my lap top downstairs networked to my pc upstairs on a wireless network. When i open my network places the pc doesn't show up, and when I do the same on the pc the lap-top doesn't show. Some times it does but won't let me access the folders I've set for sharing.

It's a pain, cos i'm not that technical.

hmmmm.... very tricky... sharing, your laptop user should have access permissions to the shared folders... computers not seeing eachother, 1. make sure both are on at the same time, 2. make sure they are part of the same network/workgroup... I can't help more than that when I'm there...

I understand the principle. the pc can see the lap top at present, but the lap top can't see the pc. It was set up properly, but computers aren't my thing.

I'll have a look on-line to see if I can find an answer.
