I'm not entirely sure what you mean by a phrase, but I would say: I love you forever and always, no matter what, and we'll both be okay. To me, that says everything.

What was your hardest goodbye, and why?

My Grandfather, when he died. I don't think that needs further flushing out, seems pretty straightforward, right?

Prejudice, inflexibility of beliefs, the idea that they know everything.

Was there ever something you knew was true, but couldn't bring yourself to believe?

Extremely intelligent. I wouldn't sacrifice my thought process for all the friends in the world.

When I was a kid I thought by the year 2000 everyone would be flying around in rocket cars - think Fifth Element, and I would be living on the moon.

To put all that in context, when I was a kid the year 2000 was like 30 years+ away, and I loved sci-fi like UFO and Captain Scarlet, so my imagination was fired up with this kind of thing.

Naturally take it to the nearest vet hospital. I have a major weakness for animals of all kinds.

If you had a choice to save one family member or ten strangers, which would you pick and why?

At first I could tell you ten strangers cos they're more people, and if by family you mean dad mom eventually bro or sis..if you mean ANY family member then I'd probaably think about the gravity of the situation

If you were of the opposite sex, what you would be like?

i'd let everyone else die. it's really not that tough of a decision. that might make me a horrible person, but i'm okay with that.

ETA: i just missed that!

to answer jay's question... i'd probably be someone like myself now, but with smaller boobs! i think i'd be a classic looking type of dude... a cross between banana republic chic and abercrombie frat boyishness. i'd be a little nerdy, probably still an emotional wreck as i am now (a sensitive dude of the new millenium), and hopefully a little more athletic (what, boys aren't born with that?). i'd also be stronger than i am now, which isn't really saying much. and i'd probably be even more of a hornball than i am now! a total manwhore, for sure.

Probably exactly as I am now, just without the woman bits. I'm kinda butch so I don't think it would really make much of a difference.

You walk into a club and see the partner of your dreams, end up hanging out and clicking right away, flirting madly and get a phone number. Then you find out the person is married but in a bad marriage/relationship. What do you do?

Been in that sitch before. I ended up with the teacher for a tiny bit, HOWEVER I was already 18 before my senior year when it happened, so it wasn't illegal, just immoral which is just as bad, but it didn't affect us on school grounds. There was definitely a separation when we were on school grounds that we had no problem with. That and we weren't in love.

What are your plans for the night?

foo: i'd probably grab a bin of pictures, my autographed OMWF poster and my votomatic from palm beach county florida (still full of gore chads). i'm assuming my cats can count as "loved ones" and i don't have to include their safe evacuation.

writerfreak: i'm meeting one of the new girls for drinks after work and then we're going to play it by ear from there for the rest of the night. she's got to watch her dog tonight (long story) so i have a feeling we're going to end up back at her place and pick up where the smooching last week left off.

what's your most prized, non-sentimental possession? something you just love for what it is, not because of any sappy story behind it.

The last thing my mom gave me before I moved out and went to college was a can of lemon tea snapple. I was driving up to San Francisco, and she handed me a bag of chips and the snapple for the ride up. I snarfed the bag of chips, but the snapple . . . I dunno, I developed a sentimental attachment to it, kinda symbolized my mom letting me go and me becoming an adult. It's probably all gross and moldy inside, because I never opened it. But then again, it could be like a fine wine, aged to perfection. It lives in my display case next to the mint condition Snoopy Snow Cone Maker.

If you believed someone you cared about was lying to you in an attempt to protect themselves, what would you do?

My dream job...hmmm, well, to make films mostly. I want to tell stories. I want to revamp the Australian film industry which is seriously lacking...everything...at the moment. Australia is a beautiful country, with beautiful people in it. On the side I'd enjoy to do portraiture, art, my own silly stuff. So far-fetched i know, but I'd enjoy it more than anything in the world.

The strangest dream I can remember was from oh, five or ten years ago. I dreamed that I was Speed Racer, and I was needed to do an epic race. The race was being held in hell, and so this very lovely succubus was guiding me down through hell to the race site. Hell was pretty much a giant urban wasteland. The dream pretty much consisted of walking through endless abandoned semi-urban vistas, following a railroad track. For months. The dream lasted months, and when I woke up I was dazed for hours about why only one night had passed.

That's a pretty though question
I think I'd make a person about to kill {not for self defence, but to kill for pure pleasure} or to rape someone, cos sadly one person can't be the source of all the badness in this world, so let's pick the 'small' crimes to start

{this isn't meant to offend anyone}
If you could teleport back into time and discover how the world was created {therefore if any God exists} would you do it? and why?

I saw a funny article about the top 10 cartoon characters who just need to come out of the closet already. Naturally, Kermit was on the list(hello, Rainbow Connection and It's Not Easy Being Green?) for many reasons, plus he's a wonderful character. Kermit might as well be a person. Love him.

But I also like Fozzy, because his jokes are awful, but he's sweet and can't cut a break.

Well, it wasn't good to me, I was humiliated at the time, but now looking back on it I can laugh. I was dating this girl and she was really really closeted. No one except our close friends knew we had ever even met really, which is odd in a small town. Our junior year it started getting out. It was probably around the middle of the school year getting cold out when one day she came up and started screaming at me in the hallway about some stupid rumors and shit. It was a crazy day thats for damn sure. That and she had like ten of her friends behind her. Even though I never even made a move to get up, she knew I wouldn't hit her. She embarrassed the hell out of me, in a huge way, in front of the whole school. Needless to say we broke up that day, but the funniest part is she kept coming back for like two years. Definitely that was my most embarrassing high school moment though.
