Having to pay almost £300 for home heating oil. As I wrote the cheque all I could think about was all the pleasurable things I could have done with that money - a holiday where the weather is nice, a PS3, or a wii, that blueray dvd player I never got round to buying when I should have.

OT: Waiting around for tradesmen when they haven't actually gave you a time for calling. I just know if I go to the toliet the door-bell will ring, and by the time I get downstairs again I'll see his van halfway down the street as he drives away.
