Mrs. gorn & the gornlings are coming home tomorrow! The time passed quicker than expected.
I spent most of my money on liquor and women,
The rest I wasted.

The friends I go watch sci-fi shows with every Sunday had a baby (I mean, one of them did; they are both the baby's parents), named Venla Aeryn. Given her parents she's basically going to be an awesome nerd, so once she's old enough to watch Farscape she'll appreciate that.

Results of the marriage equality survey are in - 61.6% voted yes to legalise same sex marriage, and the PM has said there'll be a bill voted on in parliament before Christmas :pride

(Of course there are still plenty of ways they could screw that up, but it's a step in the right direction, finally.)

Same sex marriage bill is through the Senate - 'the union of two people' instead of 'union of a man and a woman'. So now there's just the House of Reps, which should happen next week, and then it's law :pride

Baseball. Baseball makes me happy. From April through October I live and breath Houston Astros baseball. THREE consecutive years of 100+ wins, the World Series 2017, three years in the playoffs and the best group of players I've ever seen on any team. 162 game season and I'm proud to say I've watched or listened to... Every. Single. One. I'm so excited for the post-season!!!!

Today is my 28th anniversary!

Twenty-eight years ago today I asked my 'friend' if she wanted to go see Christmas lights and get some dinner after. We made it to the lights and to the mall parking lot but never made it out of the car. :wink That wonderful night was the beginning of a lifetime of love, with the sweetest and kindest person I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. We've had our shares of ups and downs over the years, but the love we share has only grown stronger. I am truly the luckiest person on earth. :heart

I get to play board games with friends tonight! I took a mental health day from work and I am so glad I did. Got to take a long nap that was very needed, and I actually feel relaxed. Plus my partner finally got her very needed medicine today, so things are just generally looking up.
